Strategy

Okay, so I've been reading "New Moon" book two of The Twilight Saga.
As many of you may know, Elizabeth Hernandez [My BFF] and I engaged one another in a bet. I bet her that I could finish SG Browne's "Breathers" and Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" before she could read Chuck Palaniuk's "Survivor" and "Choke".
The prize if I fail is I have to purchase her the Miley Cirus autobiography [hardback, because it costs more], and if I succeed then she has to buy the film "Tokyo" which I believe is only available online.
So far, I've finished "Breathers" and am already 278 pages into "New Moon" so a little over halfway. And to my knowledge Liz is still about halfway through "Survivor". But that really doesn't matter, because she's some kind of mutant, with the supernatural ability to read like twenty pages a minute. Needless to say, I've been reading like crazy and planning out when to read and when to do other things, such as: eat, use the restroom, go play D&D tonight, and sleep. Although the last item isn't too big of a concern due to my unnatural ability to function on little or no sleep.
I've been thinking about buying a Kindle 2 or a Kindle DX, not sure if I want to though.
By the time you all read this I will definitely be finished [depending on who you are and when you're reading this] or at least be past pages 300.
I'm hoping Liz is busy tonight, occupied by eminent Andrew. Too occupied to read. And, fingers crossed on this one, she goes to bed by the time I get home from D&D tonight, so I'll have all night to read "New Moon", and even have some time in the morning [I'll have to obtain an alarm clock in the next few days--more importantly for my opening shift on Saturday] to finish it.
I might be taking this a little to seriously, some may think, but at least I have my head engrossed in something more productive and less stressful than work and the depression of being so bored. Idle hands are the Devil's playground.
I feel much better than I was a few days ago, and hope it continues.
Well, I need to get back to the task at hand...I might post a chapter tonight.
