Zeros and Ones [the story behind the groundbreaking Robo-porno]

Zeros and Ones.
Zeros and Ones.

The year is 2007, I'm seventeen years old. I'm still a senior in high school. During that senior year, and every year since, I've tried developing a writing troupe. A group of people, myself included, who would all write stories or poems together and independently. I eventually got something like that started here on blogspot; Carrios, Kim Je-Min and myself all writing. But before blogspot, and before our zombie stories and even before Kim Je-Min joined us writing, Carrios and I wrote.
To be correct, we told a lot of in depth stories during lunch and theater, so naturally people asked us to write stories, which we both did but never had an audience. So senior year, I wanna say around April, Carrios starts writing, 'Starting a New: A Story in Three Acts'. He asks me one day during our sixth period, open period, to write an intermission for his new story. I ask him what he wants, he says,
"Something amazing." So I'm thinking to myself.
"I have a lot of amazing stories, but they're too long to be an intermission."
"How long do you want it, the intermission?" I ask him.
"Seven pages." He responds. "Chuck Palahniuk says that's the perfect length for any short story."
"Okay." I say, and close my eyes, setting sail into the vast ocean of ideas clamouring in my mind. I decided on a story about an android sent out into the world, the basis of a lot of my 'to-be-written' stories, to learn about human interactions as a way of enhancing AI. So I sent her, the android whom I name Anna, to a public school where she gets fucked hardcore in the janitor's closet. It was intense, and then to finish the whole point of the story [robots do have feelings] I had her kill herself. Humans are the only creatures to kill themselves over emotions so having a robot do the same thing makes them just like us.
After writing it, I gave the notebook back to Carrios and went back to what I was doing. My regular life.
I didn't think too much of the story as I was writing it, Frankly I only liked the beginning, the philosophical part of it, the rest was just flavor and the proof that one day I would write the greatest sex scene. Like I said, I didn't think too much of a seven page short story in between three acts of Carrios' new story as any big deal, how wrong I was.
A few weeks after writing it Carrios approaches me and says he never wants to write again. I ask why.
"Because no one wants to read my story. Everyone says 'Zeros and Ones' is better. Fuck my life."
I laughed on the inside and felt really bad, in no way did I want to upstage my brother, Carrios, but as they say "Sex sells".
My girlfriend at the time loved the story so much, and still does, that she often changes her myspace name and the signature on her texts to Zeros and Ones, I was always very flattered by that.
I'm sorry Carrios, for ruining your three act story, but if its any consultation, I think the sex scene in Vampyres rivals it perfectly.
God save the queen, and everyone wear Viking hats whilst having sex!
Amen.
